Comment: Copying into presentations - look great on screen but loses clarity etc outside of the web-site In May we relaunched our 360 reporting and as part of this relaunch we improved the quality of the charts so that when you copy and paste they look sharper! We still have one issue in this area that we are still working on which is some times the numbers can jump around when you are looking at lots of information on one chart. We use a tool called dotnetcharing to produce our graphs and we are hoping they will release a fix for this in the very near future! Fingers crossed.... Comment: Allow for colour schemes that you may want over the whole survey time or across a number of surveys Yes we agree - our plan is to incorporate this in to the "Preferences" area of our reporting tool. You will only need to select your colour scheme once and it will apply to all reports. Unfortunately this colour scheme won't go across multiple different surveys that you do with us (e.g. different surveys in different years) but it will only take you a couple of minutes to set it up for a survey and you'll only need to do it once for that survey! This is scheduled in our Stage two online reporting development which we are beginning work on at the end of 2008. Comment: You can only print these off with a colour printer and then of course you can't photocopy them unless you have a colour photocopier We hear you - we have now included an option under the "Preferences" area of the reporting tool that allows you to "Add labels to graphs". This means that when you print in black and white our reporting tool labels each bar so you no longer have to guess which bar relates to which data! When you're next in the reporting, click on "Preferences" on the left hand side and check the box. Comment: Would be good to be able to copy the whole report & save it as a word document Absolutely! The best advice from us would be to click on "Consolidated Report", and then use the "Copy" button directly above the first chart. You can then open Microsoft Word and paste the charts in. Comment: Sometimes the copy function doesn't work Hmmmm…sometimes the copy button can take a while to copy the whole image. When you click "Copy" your mouse icon becomes a picture of a hand, once survey-online has stopped copying the image this hand then changes back to your normal mouse icon (typically an arrow). At that stage you can then paste the chart in to other programs. Comment(s):Increase flexibility in terms of what is included in the Consolidated Report/Allow for custom built reports e.g. a report combining selected questions across various sections/Improvements already noted over prior options. Perhaps continuing to develop tools and reporting options that allow users to easily customise or decide what they want to show. Its on the cards! Our plan is to allow you to customise your own consolidated report. As you can appreciate this is a big development but we are hoping to start working on this towards the end of 2008. Comment: Might be better to switch the graphs around with green first and then total organisation Agreed - we would like you to be able to determine what order you want to see things online. Once again this is a tricky development and it is scheduled for the end of 2008 Comment(s): Can I export the results to Excel at all?/Allow an easier way to pull out raw data out of the site. Love the charts etc, however if we want to manipulate the data in any way we have to pay to extract it first. As the second comment indicates, we can provide you with the raw data in Excel. At present there is a charge of $500 plus GST for this. If you just want the data as it appears online, you can just use the "Copy" button and paste it in to Excel. However, as part of our next online reporting development we hope to be able to provide an automatic 'Export to Excel' feature. We are starting work on this development at the end of 2008. Comment: Ability to theme comments Yeah that would be cool! We have it planned in our next big reporting upgrade to be able to theme comments online. This is also planned to start work in 2008. In the meantime, we do provide a service where can provide a thematic analysis of your comments for $750 plus GST. Comment: Make the reports more transfrable to Microsoft products so that feedback to management team is more easily produced We always recommend that you use the little "copy" button directly above any chart or table as this allows you to copy and paste images in to other programs. We have also worked on improving the quality of the charts over the last few months so hopefully you may have noticed an improvement already. Comment: Have it better formatted for printing out We always recommend you use the little "Print" icon directly above the charts whenever you are printing anything from survey-online. Typically the individual reports print really well but sometimes the Consolidated Report can break over pages. If you are having this issue, you can use Mozialla Firefox to view the reports as it does not happen when you use this internet browser (for more information on printing refer to:www.jra.co.nz/forum/topic39/thread54.aspx). The other development that will help this problem is a feature where you can decide whether or not you want to include the tables in the Consolidated Report. This will avoid the breaking over pages problem! Look out for this in the first half of next year! Comment: Demographic data via cross tabs difficult to access for some areas of the company In larger organisations, it can be quite difficult to see the level of demographic data that you would like for different business units. We are investigating ways to make this more flexible and have a proposed plan outlined at the moment. This is a BIG development and is targeted for 2009. Comment: Relatively minor matter, but report building tool is a little clunky. Would be good to be able to run ad hoc reports without having to create the report first. I am assuming this comment refers to Cross tabbing. As per our comment above, we do have a plan in place to make the Cross tab feature a little less "clunky" for larger organisations - this is targeted for 2009 Comment: There was some confusion about the categories of results (from excellent to poor) and the appropriate benchmarks for a non NZ firm which could have been clearer. Access to international benchamarks would be helpful Yes I hear you! We have aligned our guidelines as to what is considered poor, good, excellent etc so that we don't cause you confusion. We are also working more and more with organisations with offices outside of New Zealand (we have just opened our Australian office) so our global benchmarking database is expanding. Comment(s): Availability of db averages to compare results with./Benchmarking against similar companies will be a valuable adjunct to the service already provided At present we only have official benchmarking available for our Employee surveys. Needless to say we are currently increasing our database for both Customer Surveys and Internal Service Surveys and we do hope to be able to provide benchmark data for these surveys in the future. Comment(s):Some found the graphs too detailed and containing almost too much information./Once I have responses broken down by category I had difficulty in printing all the report information in either landscape or portrait There is lots of information available through our online reporting! Sometimes it can be very tempting to try and include lots on there to explain your story but that can make the chart confusing. We always recommend to either use tables to display lots of information ( you can then highlight certain points) or split the information in to a couple of different charts Comment:Be able to do a question analysis on different groups If you purchased demographics, you are able to do a question analysis on different groups by selecting the "Question Analysis" report and then clicking on your different demographic groups Comment: Improve on the printing format for the online reports. While printing out the online reports, the graphs gets cut when using portrait; the questions losses it's format when using landscape! Turned out that we have to print the reports out in both portrait AND landscape, and cherry-pick the best format from the two sets. The graphs should never get cut when printing from our online reporting tool. If you are having issues like this, please call us and we can try and assist. If you are using the "print" button directly above the chart, it should print it as an image on one page. *** Edited 8/7/2007 4:55:16 AM UTC by Amy (JRA)***
